PORTLAND (AP) — A Portland man who donned a wig to conceal his identity while committing several bank and credit union robberies last year will serve 14 years in federal prison.

The Portland Press Herald reported (http://bit.ly/2bjMshV ) 26-year-old Jimmy Odong was sentenced Monday and ordered to pay nearly $27,000 in restitution by Chief Judge Nancy Torreson in Portland federal court.

Prosecutors say Odong started his crime spree when he robbed two Portland credit unions in May 2015. Next month, Odong knocked off another credit union and two bank branches in Portland and Freeport.

Police say Odong wore a wig and showed a weapon during each robbery.

Odong was arrested after authorities recovered a partial fingerprint on a stolen car he used in his final heist on July 17, 2015.
