U.S. Rep. Bruce Poliquin told the Sun Journal, “I voted for repeal of Obamacare because it was failing” (May 5). The insurance companies’ refusal to pay for pre-existing illness is the reason. The Iowa medical insurance company withdrew.

I voted for Bernie Sanders.

Roman Catholics voted for Trump because he stated that he was pro-life and anti-abortion. Anyone who denies refugees asylum, builds walls, refuses medical care to those born not perfect is not pro-life.

I am happy that I was alive when Barack Obama was president. He is in my heart and mind.
