SABATTUS — Town Manager Tony Ward told selectmen Tuesday evening that Lisbon Town Manager Diane Barns will provide a detailed analysis of animal control expenses. Sabattus contracts the services of Lisbon’s animal control officer.

The analysis is being done in response to a discussion on the animal control officer’s role in trapping and relocating animals.

Also Tuesday, the owner of Sabattus Disc Golf, Peter Ruby, filed an application for a mass gathering permit for the 2016 Women’s Disc Golf Championship on Sept. 23-26.

Selectmen will hold a public hearing on the permit Aug. 16, when more details will be given. Thousands of people are expected to attend the tournament.

Sabattus Auto & Truck Sales was awarded the 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor for its bid of $1,762.

A bid for the 2006 Ford Taurus was not accepted because it did not meet the minimum requirement of $800. Ward recommended lowering the minimum price and soliciting bids again.
