Mystery Photo for July 24, 2016

There were only a few correct entries for last week’s mystery photo. The winner, Sharon Dudley of Phillips, had no problem identifying the sculpture that is on display outside the Phillips Library Studio on Main Street in downtown Phillips. Her husband, Dana, created it. When notified that she had won, she told us that he created it for last year’s annual Scarecrow Reunion in October and when the director of the studio saw it, asked if he would allow it to be displayed there. Dudley creates sculptures for many local residents using parts that he picks up at the transfer station, thrift shops and junk that he sees during his travels. He did, however, use his daughter’s guitar for this particular sculpture. Dudley is the winner of a $20 Hannaford Supermarkets gift card.
