I cannot believe that Bill Kennedy (June 22) wants people to pay for riding a bicycle. Young people are not able to get a regular driver’s license. That’s about it. What will be next — a license for walking and talking?

Kennedy should realize that his suggestion is not reasonable.

Is there anyone who hasn’t gone through a yellow light, knowing it was possible to stop? Does everyone come to a full stop at a stop sign? In taking a right-hand turn on a red light, does everyone come to a full stop and go on only after making sure no one is coming from the left?

Also (my pet peeve), does everyone leave a vehicle-length (one length for every 10 mph) between their vehicle and the vehicle just in front?

Slow down and stop criticizing people riding on bicycles.
