LIVERMORE — Joanna Said is seeking election to the Androscoggin County register of probate, a post to which she was appointed in 2014.
The position is held by Joshua Klein-Golden.
“Important things happen in the probate department,” Said said in a statement. “We need good people to serve the people of Androscoggin County efficiently and effectively with community resources, and with the county commissioners and the budget committee in a fiscally responsible manner. Gov. LePage trusted me in 2014, and I hope you will trust me with your vote on June 14, 2016.”
“Joanna has experience in the probate court, passion for the department and the staff there, integrity in caring for the needs of the people of Androscoggin County, and abilities in budgets, management, human resources, and serving the public,” Rep. Gary Knight of Livermore Falls said in a prepared statement.
Said was appointed by Gov. Paul LePage to fill a vacancy in 2014 and served eight months as register of probate.
According to Knight, she came to understand the unique needs of the department, and she now seeks to return to the office and bring that knowledge and experience to serve the people of Androscoggin County.
