AUBURN — The School Committee is expected to decide Wednesday whether Scott Annear will be the next Edward Little High School principal.
Annear, 44, an assistant principal at the school, was selected by an interview team to replace Jim Miller, who announced in January he is retiring. He has been principal for 25 years and is a 40-year veteran of the School Department.
Annear grew up in Auburn, graduated from Edward Little in 1989 and after college began working at Edward Little as an educational technician and baseball coach. He founded the special education learning lab to provide extra help to students and was promoted to special education coordinator.
He became assistant principal at the high school in 2014, along with Sarah DeLuca.
The committee meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber of Auburn Hall.
Other agenda items include reports on adult education and Maine Learning Technology Initiative.
The Auburn School Committee is scheduled to decide whether Scott Annear will replace Jim Miller as principal of Edward Little High School at Wednesday night’s meeting.
