1969 – 2016
WATERVILLE — Frank J. Patten, 46, of Hartland and formerly of Lewiston, passed away Friday, March 25, at the MaineGeneral Hospital in Waterville.
He was born in Hartford, Conn., on Nov. 14, 1969, the son of Frank and Sophie Patten. He attended Hartford schools until his high school graduation.
He worked at Poland Spring for many years before recently being employed at TexTech Industries in Monmouth, where he loved his job making bulletproof vests for law enforcement personnel.
He met a few of the officers who wore the vests, which saved their lives.
He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed shooting and buying guns at antique gun auctions.
He loved his dog, Milo, playing fantasy football with his friends and watching UFC fights.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Jones) Patten, whom he had been with for 19 years and married on June 7, 2010; his mother, Sophie Patten; his stepchildren, Scott and Kristie Lane; his stepgrandchildren, Kaylan, Noah, Tristan and Aivlyn; his nieces, Blair and Candace; his nephews, Tony and Cody; and his best friend, Fern and his wife, Norma.
He was predeceased by his father; and his sisters, Lori and Suzanne.
