Photography lessons for charity

LEWISTON — Award-winning photographer Jim Walker will participate in a Professional Photographers Association charities event on Saturday, April 2.

Mini sessions will be offered for $25 at his studio on Lisbon Street, which will include a 5- by 7-inch photo for each participant. All proceeds will go to Operation Smiles, an international children’s medical charity with a presence in more than 60 countries that provides free life-changing surgery for children and young adults who are suffering from facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate. Only 10 sessions are available on April 2.

Bridge club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on March 7 were, first, Marta Clements and Dick Allen; second, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; third, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin. 

Winners on March 8 were, first, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; second, Paul Clement and Mike True; third, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings..

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed.
