FARMINGTON — Three Jay selectpersons will serve on the five-member Franklin County Budget Advisory Committee.

County commissioners are slated to begin the budget review April 19 and 20 at the Franklin County Courthouse. Dates for the budget panel to review the budget have not been set.

County Clerk Julie Magoon said it is the first time in her 19 years with the county that she has seen three selectmen from one town serve on the committee together.

A county caucus was held Monday to elect members to fill three open positions on the county budget panel. Budget panel members in District 1 are Jay Selectpersons Tom Goding for one year, Terry Bergeron for two years and Tim DeMillo for three years.

Gary McGrane of Jay is the District 1 commissioner. The district, which has a population of 10,124, covers Carthage, Jay, Temple, Wilton and South Franklin, which is made up of Washington and Perkins townships.

Serving on the Budget Committee from District 2 are Selectmen Steve Bunker of Farmington for one year, Joshua Bell of Farmington for two years and Travis Pond of New Sharon for three years.

Charles Webster of Farmington is the commissioner representing District 2, which has a population of 10,519. Towns in the district are Chesterville, Farmington and New Sharon.

Budget panel members in District 3 are Selectmen Ray Gaudette of Phillips for one year, John Calloway of Avon for two years and Mike Pond of Strong for three years.

Clyde Barker of Strong is the District 3 commissioner. The district, which has a population of 10,125, covers Avon, Carrabassett Valley, Coplin Plantation, Dallas Plantation, Eustis, Industry, Kingfield, New Vineyard, Phillips, Rangeley Plantation, Rangeley, Sandy River Plantation, Strong, Weld, and unorganized territories of East Central Franklin, North Franklin, West Central Franklin and Wyman Township.
