1946 – 2016
LEWISTON — Arline A. (Caron) Laplante, 69, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born on Oct. 26, 1946, in Lewiston, the daughter of the late Arthur and Emilienne (Busque) Caron.
Arline lived in Auburn most of her life, where she shared a loving marriage of 46 years with her husband, Richard Laplante.
She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post No. 53, and the Lewiston Seniors Cribbage League. In her spare time she enjoyed playing real casino slots on Facebook, and traveling to new places. She liked to spend time with her friends, family and grandchildren. On warm summer days, you could find Arline relaxing on the beach.
Arline is survived by her husband; her daughter, Christine Perk, of Conway, N.H.; her son, Brian, and his wife, Erin, of Center Conway, N.H.; her two sisters, Pauline and her husband, Charles Douglas, of Lewiston, and Doris and her husband, Donald Vachon, of Litchfield; her brother, Roger and his wife, Jackie Caron, of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Sydney and Carson Perk, and Joey Laplante; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her grandson Evan Laplante.
The family would like to thank the New Auburn Fire Department Engine No. 2 and Rescue, and the staff in the Central Maine Medical Center Emergency Room.
