JAY — Gene and Cheryl Uhuad of Jay are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Uhuad of Weymouth, Mass., to Alexandre Roy of Weymouth, Mass., son of Charles and Jeanne Roy of Essex, Conn.

Miss Uhuad is a 2005 graduate of Jay High School and received her bachelor’s degree in medical biology at the University of New England and her master’s degree as a physician assistant at the New York Institute of Technology. She works as an urgent care physician assistant south of Boston.

Mr. Roy is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and earned his juris doctorate degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He works as an assistant athletic director at Brown University.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 19 in Portsmouth, N.H.
