RUMFORD — The Oxford County Democrats will hold its 2016 Campaign Kickoff on Thursday, Jan. 14, at the Eagles Hall.

The event will begin with a social time at 5 p.m. and feature a dinner at 5:30 p.m. followed by a program.

The program, featuring remarks by Speaker of the House Mark Eves and Democratic Senate Leader Justin Alfond, will honor State Sen. John Patrick of Rumford, Rep. Matthew Peterson of Rumford, Sheriff Wayne Gallant and Register of Deeds Patricia Shearman. Bangor City Councilman Joe Baldacci and former State Sen. Emily Cain of Orono, candidates for the 2nd Congressional District, have been invited, as well as candidates for the Legislature and county offices in Oxford County.

The menu will include chicken and fixings, plus a vegetarian lasagna option. Tickets for the event are $12 per person, $7 for students and seniors, and must be reserved by contacting 207-875-2116 or info@oxforddems.org.
