United New Auburn Association to meet

AUBURN — The December meeting of the United New Auburn Association will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Rolly’s Diner, 87 Mill St.

A guest speaker will be present. All Auburn residents are welcome to hear what is going on in the New Auburn community. Refreshments will be provided.

Sabattus Seniors to meet

SABATTUS — The Sabattus Seniors will meet Thursday, Jan. 7, at Maxwell-Gill Hall.

The meal will be roast pork, and reservations are required by Dec. 30 by calling 207-375-4037.

If schools in Sabattus close because of bad weather, there will not be a meeting. This will also be announced on WCSH 6.

Bridge Club lists winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on Dec. 14 were first, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock; second, Nancy Lindgren and Les Buzzell; third/first in B, Marta Clements and Dick Allen; fourth/second in B/first in C, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; second in C, Donna Bartlett and Claire Lyons.

Winners on Dec. 15 were, first, Sharron Hinckley and Fred Letourneau; second, Pat Garcia and David Lock; third, Les Buzzell and Tom Goodwin; fourth, Nancy Lindgren and Roger Labbe; fifth, Jeanine Kivus and Pat Quinn; first in B, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; second in B, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr.

Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed.
