JAY — Spruce Mountain Adult Education has announced its December Enrichment Offerings. 

Gift Certificate: Loved ones and friends may acquire new skills and meet friends in the community. Gift certificates are available through Friday, Dec. 19.

Driver Education: The Adult Education offers Maine driver’s license education classes year-round and Maine motorcycle license education classes’ seasonally. The next class starts Monday, Nov. 30, and will be held at Spruce Mountain Adult Education. Register: 207-784-6245 

1, 2, 3 Magic & More: This award-winning video-based program provides easy-to-learn parenting techniques that WORK for children ages 18 months to 12 years old. Learn simple steps to control obnoxious behavior, encourage good behavior, and strengthen relationships with your children. Enjoy results quickly. Classes will be held starting Wednesday, December 2nd to December 16th @ 4pm. This is a FREE class.

Meeting Your Guardian Angel: This is an interactive workshop that focuses on the ability to connect with and communicate with guardian angels. Using hypnotic techniques, as well as relation and guided imagery, participants will receive support and guidance from these special helpers in spirit. Those participating should bring a beach chair and sleeping bag and one or two pillows. Class will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9. The cost of this class is $30.

Driving Dynamics: This course offers all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving skills. Instruction will cover collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitude. Those completing this course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record. This is a Department of Transportation-sponsored class. This class will meet 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Dec. 15 and 17. The cost of the class will be $40 for participants 64 years of age and younger; $10 for 65 and older. Attendance is required for both classes to receive the credit.

Reiki Level 2: Training in the second degree consists of learning additional symbols and in absentia (also known as long-distance or psychic) healing. The second attunement increases the ability to channel Universal Life Force energy. Participants bring water. This class will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16. The cost of this class will be $60.
