1925 – 2015

AUBURN — Laurent A. Doucette, 90, of Lewiston, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Clover Living Center.

He was born in Lewiston, on April 4, 1925, the son of the late Rodolphe and Corinne (Fouquette) Doucette. He attended Lewiston schools. He served in the Philippines during World War II. In 1948, he married Theresa Rousseau.

Laurent had several jobs during his lifetime; most notably, Bath Iron Works and the Bates Mill, until his retirement.

Laurent enjoyed yard work and landscaping and watching New England sports teams. He had a special place for the Boston Red Sox.

Larry is survived by three sons, Ronald and wife, Arlene, of Hebron, Michael and wife, Connie, of Bradenton, Fla. and Daniel and wife, Lysanne, of Lewiston; two daughters, Carol and husband, George Langelier, of Lewiston and Lucille and husband, Robert Langelier, of Lewiston; as well as 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lucien Doucette of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Theresa; two brothers, Rodolphe and Alfred; sisters, Loretta Beland and Anita Fortier; and a great-grandson, Parker Doucette.
