FARMINGTON — The Farmington Recreation Department recently wrapped up their annual Instructional Soccer Programs for children Pre-K through the sixth grade.

The ending of the Instructional Soccer program was condensed into one evening with a new atmosphere known as Medal Madness. Teams were challenged by their most equivalent competition in order to make the final matches fun, close, and exciting. For the first time ever, all three matches in Division II went into overtime.

This year’s Instructional Soccer Program director was Jaycee Jenckes. She kept the program running smoothly. Special thanks to Mt. Blue High School varsity and junior varsity soccer players that took on coaching roles as well as a handful of UMF students who assisted with refereeing and instruction.

The John Boutilier Memorial Award in short, represents a favorite fan that demonstrates enthusiasm and support throughout the entire length of the soccer program. This year, Jake Bogar was the top prospect.
