1924 – 2015
LEWISTON — Benoit “Benny” Beaulieu, 91, of 388 Grove St., Lewiston, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Born in Lewiston on Jan. 12, 1924, he was the son of Nazaire and Helena Bourgoin Beaulieu. He attended school in Lewiston and worked on his parents’ dairy farm until he met and married the love of his life, the former Lucina Gosselin. They purchased their own farm where they raised their four children. He was a very hard-working, humble, kind-hearted, generous and happy man.
Benny was a skilled machinist, and retired from Philip Elmet Corp. in 1986. He enjoyed caring for his cows, working in the garden and tinkering in the garage; he could fix just about anything! He enjoyed being with friends and family on day trips to the beach, lobster bakes in the front yard and just sitting outside by the fire. He was a faithful, longtime member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish. He was involved with the Lewiston Senior Citizens and enjoyed many bus trips.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lucina; his sons, Peter and Paul Beaulieu; his daughters, Angie Beaulieu and Helen Williams; his grandchildren, Adam Beaulieu, Autumn Banks, Careena Michaud and Chrissy Freve; and his first great-grandchild, Cylas Freve; also his brother, Julien Beaulieu; and sister, Bertha Dionne; and many, many others who loved and knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his sisters, Germaine Adamski, Blanche Poulin and Marie Kenney.
