RUMFORD — The Rumford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Rumford Town Hall Auditorium for its monthly meeting.
The meeting will include a talk entitled “Bridges and Ferries Over the Years From Hanover to Dixfield,” and will feature a roundtable discussion by several locals, including Chris Howe of Hanover, Carol and Robert Parise of Rumford, Jane Welch-Peterson of Rumford Center, Lorraine Legere of Mexico and Shirley and Robert Dolloff of Peru and Dixfield.
The historical society said that residents are welcome to bring their own photographs to share with the audience, and that they would take pictures of them for the Rumford Historical Society archives.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
