Also, Sun Spots is not the column that publishes events. In order to have your event mentioned in Sun Spots you must be a nonprofit asking for specific donated items, volunteers, crafters, etc. Event information should go to communitynews@sunjournal.com. Thank you.

HI SUN SPOTS: The West Paris Firemen’s Auxiliary is looking for crafters for a craft fair being planned for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Agnes Gray School on Main Street in West Paris. The costs are $10 per spot; $5 extra if we supply the table and $5 non-refundable deposit. Please call 207-890-0266 or mail deposit to reserve your spot to 19 Park Street, West Paris, ME 04289. Thank you. — Colleen, 207-890-0266, treasurer WPFA.

DEAR HELPFUL SUN SPOTS: Your terrific assistance for us faithful readers is so necessary — thank you again! I’m looking for an old-time cereal drink called Postum. Also, I am looking for Tandoori powder spice. Hoping some reader knows. — Elaine L. of Harrison.

ANSWER: The manufacture of Postum had been discontinued from 2007 to 2012. Now, you can buy Postum directly from the manufacturer online at postum.com/buy. The website also has a store locator that shows stores that sell Postum and the closest store to Maine is The Vermont Country Store, 5650 Main St., Manchester Center, VT 05255.

Substitutes for Postum include Pero and Kaffree Roma, which is available at health food stores. Williams-Sonoma, Whole Foods Market, and Walmart carry Tandoori powder spice. If you want to make your own Tandoori spice mix, this recipe comes from Food.com.

Ingredients: 3 Tbsp. ground ginger; 3 Tbsp. coriander; 1 Tbsp. ground cumin; 1 Tbsp. paprika; 1 Tbsp. pepper; 2 tsps. salt; 1-1/2 tsp. turmeric; 1-1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg; 1-1/2 tsp. ground cloves; 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Directions: Mix and store in airtight container.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for the service you provide our community. We are looking for two retired people who would like to volunteer once a week for a few hours at our food pantry in Auburn. Duties would include carrying boxes for our participants, helping our delivery person with deliveries, and helping clean up after food pantry.

Volunteers need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be extremely reliable. The hours are every Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. You would work with a group of very dedicated, fun people who love serving their community. If this sounds like you, please call Pam Blake at 207-998-5238 or Ben Dugas at 207-229-1466. Thank you. Pam Blake, director, Seventh Day Adventist Food Pantry, 316 Minot Ave.
