North Turner Presbyterian to host harvest supper

TURNER — North Turner Presbyterian Church will host its annual harvest supper from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the GAR Hall in North Turner on Route 219.

The supper will include turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, rolls and pies.

The seasonlong silent auction on the handmade quilt will be announced at the end of the supper.

The clothing center will be closing for the season between Oct. 15 and 30.

Bean supper at Auburn church

AUBURN — A bean supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Auburn United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave.

The menu includes baked beans, casseroles, potato salad, hot dogs, coleslaw, breads, beverage and pie. The cost is $7.

Entertainment will be provided by the Park Avenue Pickers.

New type of church service offered

AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave., is inviting the public to attend a new Contemplative Service at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18.

The unique service involves singing Taize music, and the reading of Scripture and silent prayer while surrounded by religious art and candlelight.

Church to visit Holy Land

AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church will take a guided tour of the Holy Land from Feb. 15 to 25, 2016.

A gathering for those who want to see photos and remembrances of past trips will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at 439 Park Ave. Those who have been should bring stories, pictures and mementos. Everyone is welcome.
