The northern zones — which includes Fort Kent, Caribou, Presque Isle and the area north of Jackman — have gradual color change with little leaf drop, according to the Maine Fall Foliage Report from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry.
“If our weather pattern continues, we may still see an abundance of color in late October along the coast and the southern part of the state,” said Gale Ross, fall foliage coordinator.
