LEWISTON — Announcement is made of the engagement of Emily Carrington and Michael Scully, both of Portland.

Miss Carrington is the daughter of Christine Carrington and Mr. Carrington, who is deceased. She is a 2004 graduate of Brunswick High School and a graduate of the University of New England. She earned her master’s degree in human resource management from Kaplan University in 2013 and is currently employed as the assistant to the president of Kaplan University’s Maine campuses.

Mr. Scully is the son of Patrick Scully of Portland and Deborah Brann of Lewiston. He is a 2004 graduate of Brunswick High School and a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia. He is a full time student of law at Maine Law School in Portland and plans to graduate in 2017.

The wedding will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 20, 2016 at Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Parish in Portland.
