ROXBURY — Record Hill Wind LLC will be presented with the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program award at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, in recognition of its safety achievement program, said Julie D. Rabinowitz, director of Policy, Operations and Communications with the Maine Department of Labor.

A certificate and banner will be presented by Pamela Megathlin, director of the Bureau of Labor Standards in the Maine Department of Labor, and members of the bureau’s Workplace Safety and Health Division.

The ceremony will take place at 229 Roxbury Notch Road.

Rabinowitz said to qualify for a the award, companies must “voluntarily undergo a comprehensive safety audit, correct all hazards identified during an on-site health and safety consultation, demonstrate that effective safety and health programs are in place and maintain injury rates below the industry average for the last year of completed data.”

“After awarding a company the SHARP designation, OSHA removes the work site from its general inspection list for two years,” Rabinowitz said. “If the company continues to meet all conditions of the program, the SHARP designation may be renewed for another two years.”
