NORWAY — Pauline L. Colson, 99, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, at a Norway health care center, following a long illness.
Pauline was born and raised in Carmel, the daughter of Lester and Lura (Palmer) Sprague. She was married to Perley P. Colson, who predeceased her in 1997. Following his death, she moved to South Paris to be close to her daughter, Beverly.

She enjoyed doing many crafts, including crocheting, quilting and knitting mittens to send to the Indian school.
In her younger days, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Carmel Grange and the Newport Women’s Relief Corps.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Beverly A. Garland and her husband, Carl, of South Paris; a son, Harold Dearborn and his wife, Candy, of Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
