1963 – 2015
AUBURN — Francis E. “Skip” Ross, 52, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Androscoggin Hospice House.
He was born on May 28, 1963, in Rangeley, the son of Willis R. Ross and Geneva (Chick) Ross. He attended school at Mt. Abram in Phillips.
On May 20, 2000, he married Mary Lee at Smalls Falls in Madrid. “Skip” and Mary have been together for 24 years.
He worked in shoe shops and for Philips Elmet Technologies in Lewiston. Skip enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and snowmobiling and was a member of the Wilton Hunting Club. He received a certificate for the “Biggest Buck Division” for black powder-hunting in Maine. He also was an avid moose antler collector.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ross of Livermore Falls; three sons, Joshua E. Ross and his companion, Ky Jowdry, of Augusta, Brandon Ross and Dillion Ross, both of Livermore Falls; one grandson, Nicholas E. Ross; three brothers, Freeman Ross of Lewiston, Jim Ross and his wife, Joella, of Phillips, and Bill Ross and his wife, Debbie, of Rumford; and his best friends, Keith and Jannette White of Madrid.
He was predeceased by his father, Willis R. Ross; and his brother, Dan Ross.
