1940 – 2015
AUBURN — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Patricia Celani, on Wednesday, July 29.
Born in St. Agatha on Sept. 11, 1940, Patricia moved to Lewiston at a young age with her parents, Emile and Evangeline Lagasse, and brother, Gerry.
Educated in Catholic schools, Pat carried that faith with her throughout her life. Pat’s work within the community at American Stabilis and Bell Manufacturing allowed her to foster many lifelong friendships.
With clever wit, unparalleled work ethic and compassion for people, Pat’s impact on this world is hard to surmise within the space of an obituary. We ask that those who knew her pause and reflect, if for only a moment, and remember just what a special person she was.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Emile and Evangeline; and former husband, Antonio Celani Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Celani and Joanne Labrie of Lewiston, and Dean and Carol Celani and their daughter, Lydia, of Auburn; a brother, Gerry and Irene Lagasse of Lewiston; many dear cousins, sisters-in-law and very special friends, who were by her side throughout her journey.
A special thank-you to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and her friends at Clover Manor for for the care they provided.
