WOODSTOCK — Oxford County deputies are investigating numerous residential burglaries that occurred last week in town.
* At 9:22 a.m. July 11, Deputy Andrew Whitney took a report of theft. He said the complainant did not want any specific information distributed to the public. The theft is under investigation. There are no leads at this time.
* At 5:20 p.m. July 11, deputies responded to a reported burglary of a home on Old County Road. It is under investigation.
* At 7:09 a.m. July 12, a Rumford Avenue resident reported to Cpl. Justin Brown that while they were away for approximately an hour the previous day, someone entered their home by bypassing their lock and stole jewelry and money from them. The investigation is ongoing.
* At 12:33 p.m. July 12, a caller reported interrupting a burglary in progress at a Gore Road home in Woodstock. Brown and deputies Whitney, Stephen Witham and Josh Daley responded. Brown said the burglar fled on foot. The deputies searched the area and attempted to track the suspect with a dog. Brown said the suspect matches other burglaries in the area. The investigation is continuing.
* At 6:16 p.m. July 12, Cpl. George Cayer, Witham and deputy Nathan Bowie received a report of a burglary and theft of jewelry and cash at a Rumford Avenue home in Woodstock. There was no forced entry.
* At 6:46 p.m. July 12, Witham and Bowie received a report of a burglary and theft of jewelry at a Rumford Avenue home in Woodstock. Entry was made through a rear door.
* At 8:28 p.m., July 12, deputies responded to a report of a home burglary on South Main Street in Woodstock. The investigation is ongoing.
