LEWISTON — Magician “The Great Stephan,” 11 a.m., Callahan Hall, Lewiston Public Library, free. Stephan is one of Maine’s most requested magicians, performing his comedy and magic all over New England.

LEWISTON — Finance Committee meeting, 5:15 p.m., in the Administrator’s Conference Room on the bottom floor of City Hall. Topics include bids for fire uniforms and turnout gear, equipment and road salt purchase bids.

AUBURN — City Council workshop and meeting in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of Auburn Hall. The workshop begins at 5:30 p.m. and topics include executive sessions to discuss personnel and economic development matters and bonds to pay for fire station floor repairs. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and topics include farm sales, property tax due dates and liquor licenses.

LEWISTON — Lewiston City Council special meeting, 6 p.m., in the City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of City Hall. The only topic is an executive session to discuss real estate negotiations.

Thursday, July 9

LEWISTON — Lewiston-Auburn Joint Charter Commission meeting, at 6 p.m., in City Hall. Agenda topics include continued work on the model charter and  a discussion of a consultant’s proposal.
