DEDHAM (AP) — Police say a 16-year-old boy was sent to the hospital after a three-car crash near Bangor.

Authorities say a pickup truck rear-ended the teen’s vehicle Sunday on Route 1A in Dedham while he was waiting to turn left into the Lucerne Inn.

The vehicle spun out of control and hit another pickup traveling eastbound.

The boy was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries and the road was closed for nearly an hour.

The other two drivers refused treatment.
