1962 – 2015
OXFORD — Dennis M. Walker, 53, of South Paris passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 2, 1962, the son of Bernell and Dorothy (Southard) Walker. He attended local schools and was a graduate of the Auburn school system.
Dennis loved to take road trips with his family to visit amusement parks and ride roller coasters. His favorite park was Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, which he traveled to twice. Some of his greatest times were spent watching his boys participate in sports. He was a very social, friendly and outgoing person, which made his current job as a card dealer at Oxford Casino the perfect fit, as he could talk to many different people. Previously, he was employed by Geiger Bros. for more than 20 years, where he made many friends.
He loved music and going to live shows. He was very much looking forward to seeing Van Halen again!
He loved camping, fishing and hunting. In his spare time, he could be found at one of his favorite fishing holes or on the golf course, playing a round.
He is survived by his two sons, Joshua Walker of Lewiston and Nicholas Walker of Poland; his children’s mother, Kim Walker of Lewiston; two brothers, David Walker of Ohio and Steve Walker of Auburn; and a very special niece, Hannah Smith of Auburn.
He was predeceased by his parents.
