1950 – 2015
LEWISTON — Karen Angel Richard, 65, of Oxford, went to her heavenly home, Saturday morning, May 30, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born on Mar. 30, 1950, in Lewiston, a daughter of George and Doris (Austin) Grady. Karen attended local schools and held various small jobs, but her greatest work was as a loving homemaker.
She married Gus Richard on July 25, 2004, in Norway, and they spent 11 wonderful years together in Oxford. Their love for one another will never die.
Her passion was for you to know that truth, love and life itself is in Jesus and the cunning lusts of this world bring death. She enjoyed being a woman and accentuating her femininity with clothing and jewelry. She truly became more beautiful with age.
Karen is loved by her husband, Gus of Oxford; a daughter, Stacia Poulin of Lewiston; a brother, Roger Goodwin of Oxford; grandchildren, Allen Michael and Cameron Poulin; and a great-grandson, Connor.
She was predeceased by a brother, George Grady.
Her daughter, Stacia wrote, “My dearest mother Angel, God sent you as a guide and mentor into my life, but you were taken back too soon. I am the strong, independent woman I am today because of you. What will I do without you? You were a great woman, my best friend, a teacher and most of all, my mother, but I also know you are in a better place. P.S. I can’t wait to dance with you! XOXO”
