1936 – 2015

LEWISTON — Robert “Bob” Reginald Laliberte, 79, loving husband, proud father and pepere, died Sunday, May 17, peacefully at his home from congestive heart failure.

He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 12, 1936, to Reginald Laliberte and Ida Tuck Laliberte. On May 18, 1957, he married Doris Lucille Morin, and together they raised two children. Bob served in the Army/National Guard until his honorable discharge in 1962. He had successful careers at Shapiro Brothers Shoe Co., Philips Elmet and RSU 52.

Bob was an avid golfer and hunter and enjoyed his hunting trips to North New Portland. He was always up for a party and loved to make his “famous” peanut butter fudge and apple dumplings for friends and strangers to enjoy. He was a member of Holy Cross Church/Prince of Peace Parish and a member of the American Legion.

Bob is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris; daughter, Diane Kenney and son-in-law, Jeff, of Turner; son, Mark Laliberte and daughter-in-law, Lisa, of Lewiston; grandchildren, Allison Kenney and Tyler Kenney; and brothers, Paul Laliberte and Roger Laliberte, both of Lewiston.

He is predeceased by his parents; his brother Richard “Dick” Laliberte; and sisters, Joyce Blanchette and Claire Dubois.
