AUGUSTA — The House and Senate have voted to override several bills vetoed by Gov. Paul LePage.

The House voted 119-27 Wednesday in favor of overturning LePage’s veto of a bill that gives lawmakers control over plans to offer keno. The House also kept alive a proposal to increase filing fees for transmission line projects.

The bills head to the Senate.

The Senate voted to overturn LePage’s veto of a bill that authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public when people who’ve been convicted of a sex offense against a child in Canada are deported to the U.S. LePage said agencies can already do that.

The Senate sustained two vetoes and the House sustained one. Among them was a bill that sought to ensure that firework debris is considered “litter” under Maine law.
