1961 – 2015

LEWISTON — Colby W. Tripp passed away on Sunday, May 10.

He was born on March 10, 1961, the son of Olive and Wheeler Tripp. He attended Lewiston schools. He married Darlene Tripp on Oct. 28, 1989. Together, they had three children and four grandchildren. They had recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

He started his working career hand sewing shoes, then worked as a carpenter for several years. He had been employed at Bath Iron Works for the past 25 years.

Colby loved to hunt, fish, travel, dine out and spend time with his family. He was a wonderful provider and always took care of his family, especially making sure his grown children maintained their cars regularly. He was meticulous with yard work and snow removal. He was said to have had the most manicured driveway

in the neighborhood during the winter. He always gave 110% to his work.

He leaves behind his wife; his three children, Lee and Ginger Tripp of Fort Edwards, N.Y., and Thomas Tripp of Milford; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Kendall, Blake and Danielle; his brothers, Gary Tripp and wife, Betty, of Auburn, and Dale Tripp of Lewiston; his sisters, Joyce Richardson and husband, Eddie, of Lewiston, Linda Dulac and husband, Ronnie, of Auburn and Valerie Tripp and friend, Fern, of Mechanic Falls; and many well-loved nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother and father; and his sister, Janet St. Pierre and her husband, Louis.
