GREENE – A 25-year-old local woman died at 1 a.m. Saturday as a result of injuries suffered in a crash, police said.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said Amanda “Mandi” Leigh Rines died at the scene after going off Allen Pond Road and crashing head-on into a large tree, a short distance from her home.

“Troopers said Rines was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is a primary factor in the crash,” McCausland said in a press release.

According to her obituary, Rines graduated from Oak Hill High School in 2008 and was working for TD Bank.
