1986 – 2015
WELLS — Amanda K. LaVoie, 28, a resident of Auburn, formerly of Turner, died early Saturday morning, May 2, as a result of a car accident.
She was born July 13, 1986, in Lewiston, the daughter of John LaVoie and Cindy (Pastore) LaVoie Cady. Amanda was a 2004 graduate of Leavitt High School in Turner and continued her education at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Amanda had worked at TD Bank call center in Auburn; she was currently working for Community Concepts and also as a baker. She enjoyed baking for her family and friends, but above all else, she loved the time she spent with her son, Carter.
She is survived by her son, Carter John LaVoie of Turner; her parents, John LaVoie and stepmother, Jane, of Turner; and Cindy Cady and stepfather, Doug, of Ogunquit; brothers, Jamie LaVoie of Bradenton, Fla., Jeromie LaVoie and wife, Sonya, of Tyngsboro, Mass., and Jason LaVoie and wife Keri of Littleton, Mass.; her maternal grandmother, Helen Pastore of Waterbury, Conn.; and special cousin, Michalee Chasse of Turner.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Frank Pastore; and paternal grandparents, Carlton and Charlene LaVoie.
The family would like to give special thanks to patrolman William Jepson, the Wells police and rescue departments and the York Hospital emergency department for their care and assistance.
