1958 – 2015

SANFORD — After a protracted battle with cancer, Marc Marcel Trepanier died on Wednesday, April 22, in Sanford at the age of 56. He leaves behind his daughter, Rachel Lykourgos; and his son, Tyson Trepanier.

Marc was born on May 11, 1958, in Lewiston to father, Marcel Trepanier, who predeceased him, and mother, Doris Lagueux. He grew up in a loving family with two sisters. He also had one half-sister and three half-brothers.

Marc was a hard-working man who worked as a logger to provide for his family until 1999, when he relocated his family to Natick, Mass., for better life opportunities.

Marc was a honest and loving man. When diagnosed with colon cancer in 2012, he remained upbeat and continued his will to fight his illness. He remained a brave, iron-willed man, even throughout his final months.

Marc is survived by his children; as well as his sisters, Pauline Verrill and Joan Bolduc; and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Marc was a loved man by all and will truly be missed. He was not only a great father, but a role model for working hard and never quitting, and was a best friend to many, including his children. This world has lost a great individual that can never be replaced. But he will remain forever in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
