RUMFORD — Ralph R. Papasadora, 88, died Saturday, April 11, at his residence on Route 108 in Rumford.
Ralph was born in Rumford on Dec. 30, 1926. He was a son of Frank and Maria (DeFilippo) Papasadora. He attended Rumford schools and worked for Boise Cascade as a millwright. He also worked part time for Puiia Hardware and Lumber Co. and Dr. Albert Royal.
Ralph was a communicant of the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford. He was a former member and past president of Gorizia Lodge No. 467, Sons of Italy. He loved woodworking, especially making bird houses. His favorite pastime was spending time with his granddaughter, Kristy. He was a member of the Narrow Gauge Railroad in Portland. He also enjoyed going for rides and spending time with his favorite pets Daisy, Abby and Bella.
He was married in Rumford on Sept. 25, 1950, to Elizabeth Kondas, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include: a daughter, Elizabeth Tidswell and her husband, Earland, of Rumford; a grandson, Eric Tidswell of Maine; and a great-grandson, Ryder Tidswell of Las Vegas.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Ann Papasadora; a granddaughter, Kristy Tidswell; brothers, Dominic, Paul, Vito, Frank and Sammy Papasadora; sisters, Theresa Salatino, Annie Garneau, Mary Whittemore, Jennie Virgin and Laura Marabello; and three special nieces and nephews, Tina Virgin, Roseanne Goodman and Tookie Papasadora.
