1938 – 2015

AUBURN — Marion E. Holt, 76, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, March 29, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

Marion was born in Lewiston on May 31, 1938, a daughter of Henry and Madeline (Snow) Kelley. She attended Mechanic Falls schools, graduating from Mechanic Falls High School. She also attended and graduated from the University of Maine at Augusta, earning an associate’s degree in accounting.

For many years, Marion worked as a payroll clerk at Yarmouth Lumber Inc., retiring from the company in 2000.

She enjoyed getting together with friends and doing wood-carving.

Marion had lived in Oxford since 2000, moving there from Lisbon Falls.

She is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Holt, who died in 1984; and a sister, Eleanor Cusson.

She is survived by her companion of many years, Paul Foster of Oxford; four sons, Paul Holt of Mechanic Falls, Kenneth Holt Jr. and his companion, Karen LeBlanc, of Litchfield, Ronald Holt and his wife, Melissa, of Bowdoinham, and Brian Holt of Lewiston; three daughters, Donna Hobbs and her husband, Don, of Litchfield, Marie Kates and her husband, Rick, of Turner, and Debbie Michaud and her husband, Larry, of Avondale, Ariz.; four sisters, Jackie, Emma, Helen and Pat; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
