What terrific news about the YMCA potentially moving to the Bates Mill #5 (Sun Journal, Feb. 19).

I have been a long-time member of the YMCA, spending a portion of each morning exercising and often thinking about the future of this venerable community institution.

I have been worried about the previously announced goal to move to a suburban location, but it seems that the “Y” has now found a viable alternative that will allow it to grow its core operation in the heart of Lewiston-Auburn.

Wonderful, wonderful news.
