AUBURN —The Woman’s Literary Union will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 19 Elm St. Local historian and artist John Henderson will be the featured guest.

A very entertaining and informative speaker, Henderson will speak on the topic of Valentine’s Day. He will also present on the history of Irish in Auburn, including background on Dinny Sullivan.

The talk is open to the public, light refreshments will be served. Those attending the talk are asked to bring a donation of food or money for the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.

Upcoming events at the WLU include “Just Desserts,” from 4-10 p.m. on Feb. 14, a Dinny Sullivan Day open house and the Fairy Godmother gown giveaway on March 28.

Snow date for Just Desserts will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15.
