LEWISTON — The Red Cross teamed up with L-A Harley Davidson in Lewiston on Saturday to host a blood drive.
Red Cross officials told WGME they’re in critical need of blood right now and the annual event at with L-A Harley Davidson is usually one of their most successful blood drives across the state. The blood drive has been held at the dealership for the last 15 years.
Organizers said the cold weather affected turn out on Saturday, but organizers say they’re grateful for all the donors who did make it out. Kathi Yergin, the Mid-Maine Lewiston H.O.G. Chapter Director, said, “We just truly appreciate all they’ve done. They’ve saved a life and maybe three.”
