AUBURN — Congratulations to 2014 Edward Little High School graduates Dylan Blanchard and Antony Gardner who each received a $500 Auburn Ski Association Scholarship from association President Eric Howes at Lost Valley recently.

Dylan Blanchard is a computer science and innovation major at Champlain College in Vermont. Dylan was a four-year member of the Edward Little alpine ski team. He received the most improved award sophomore year, the coach’s award junior year and the Davis Cup his senior year. Dylan competed in the KVAC race each year and went to the state meet his last three years of high school.

Antony Gardner is a computer technology major at Central Maine Community College in Auburn. Antony was on the Edward Little Nordic ski team his sophomore and senior years when he was team captain and received the coach’s award and the Davis Cup.

The annual ASA Scholarships are announced at the June graduation, and are awarded after the recipients successfully complete their first semester of college. The Auburn Ski Association provides financial support for Alpine and Nordic race programs at Edward Little High School and the Auburn Middle School, as well as organizations such as the Lost Valley Race Club, Central Maine Adaptive Sports, the Merrick Chadbourne after school learn-to-ski program and teen night at Lost Valley.
