STAUNTON, Va. — Sandra Giguere Carter of Staunton, Va., formerly of Sabattus, died in her home on Thursday, Jan. 1.

Sandra was the daughter of Robert R. Giguere Sr. and Pauline Cote Giguere. Sandra went to school at Governor Baxter State School for the Deaf before moving with her family to South Florida in 1976.

She is survived by her mother, Pauline Giguere of Auburn; her brother, Robert R. Giguere, Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; her sister, Denise C. Clougherty of Poland; her sister, Diane Hughes of Knoxville, Tenn.; three nieces; and six great-nieces and nephews.

Sandra is predeceased by her husband, Gary Carter of Lakeland, Fla. and by her father, Robert R. Giguere Sr.
