Winter Cabaret is sketch comedy at its best — the funny, frantic, slightly bawdy sort you’ve come to love from The Theater Project. This year the group, who have been acting, improvising, and laughing together for over a decade, have created an all-new, all-original lineup of skits that explore the whole of human history, from the Ottomans and Romans to Joan of Arc, Henry VIII, Puritans and presidents. Closer to Monty Python than the history lessons you might remember from school.

Desserts by Wild Oats Bakery complement the wild and weird wit onstage, and musical accents and interludes will be designed and performed by Ben Hunsberger.

Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. All tickets are Pay-What-You-Want, with a suggested price of $18. Limited table seating available by special request. For tickets or more information, call 207-729-8584 or visit www.theaterproject.com. The Theater Project is at 14 School Street.
