The outdoors has been brought inside at Minot Consolidated School — in a mural. The artwork greeted students when they returned to school last week from Christmas vacation. Painted by volunteers Superintendent Robert Wall and Greene resident Dawn Simpson, who has family ties in Minot, the 10 by 10-foot painting, which adorns the corridor wall leading to the cafeteria and multi-purpose room, shows two pastured horses against a background of green rolling hills and red farm buildings. “I think it’s just great,” said School Principal John Mullen. “Their work and school community spirit is greatly appreciated.”
