Free community Christmas celebration

FAYETTE — The Community Christmas Celebration will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Fayette Central School.

A traditional ham dinner with all the fixings will be served. There also will be homemade pies, festive traditional Christmas music and a live outdoor nativity scene.

The dinner and entertainment is a gift to the community of Fayette from the Fayette Baptist Church. Admission is free.

Other ways the church helps Fayette residents include the delivery of 36 Thanksgiving Day baskets, the continued supply from the Hope Chest children’s clothing closet, the introduction and use of the Food Pantry and harvest time food distribution that has now served over 100 individuals since its opening earlier this spring and the home-help projects done throughout the town, including the most recent replacement of a roof for a resident.
