BUCKFIELD — Kerseyanne Goyette poured 14 points into the net Monday to lead Buckfield to a 47-31 victory over Valley in an EWC season-opening girls’ basketball tilt.
Naudia Wesley chipped in for the Bucks (1-0) with 10 points, while Gabby Therriault added six.
Kyla White paced the Cavaliers (0-1) with eight points, while Jordan Belanger and Hallie Miller each added six.

Telstar 70, Mt. Abram 49
SALEM — Mike Daugherty ignited a 29-14 run in the fourth quarter as Telstar rallied to a 70-49 victory over Mt. Abram in a MVC boys’ basketball tilt Monday.
Daugherty led the Rebels (1-1) with a game-high 30 points, including 13 in that key fourth frame. Jarrett Bean chipped in for Telstar with 14 points, while Cam Pike added 10.
The Roadrunners (1-1) were paced by Quinton Hanna with 23 points, while Tristen Dyer added 10.
Valley 75, Buckfield 43
BUCKFIELD — Cody Laweryson led a trio of players in double figures Monday as Valley overpowered Buckfield, 75-43, in a EWC boys’ basketball tilt.
Laweryson netted 23 points for the Cavaliers (1-0), while Colin Miller tallied 18 and Luke Malloy added 12.
The Bucks (0-1) were paced by Jared Eastman with a solid 11-point effort. Valley built a 20-point lead in the first half and kept its offense in high gear until the final buzzer.
Hall-Dale 66, St. Dom’s 29
FARMINGDALE — Bryson Camp poured 14 points into the net Monday night to propel Hall-Dale to a 66-29 rout of St. Dom’s in a KVAC matchup.
Tyler Nadeau and Wesley Lapointe chipped in with eight points each for the Bulldogs in a balanced attack.
The Saints were paced by Becket Wagner with 14 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
