AUBURN —

will highlight a lineup of hilarious stand-up comedians for Comedy Fix XVII at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Auburn Fireside Inn with all net proceeds benefiting the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society. Comedy Fix founder Mark Turcotte will also welcome Ian Stuart, Bill Picard, Paul Landwehr, and JOKETRON featuring Josh Day and Mike Howlett.

Hobdy was selected to perform in this year’s World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas and was a finalist in the 2013 Funniest Comic in New England Contest. He’s performed at Comix at Foxwoods and is a regular at Headliners Comedy Club.

Stuart recently returned from touring Denver and Chicago. He writes for the 420 Times and stars in his own web series “The Strainger.” The Portland native recently recorded his second album “Romancing the Stoned,” the follow up to 2012’s “Day Drinker.”

Picard is truly a unique act. Born with cerebral palsy and confined to a wheelchair, Picard has used his physical disability to both educate and entertain. He was a finalist in Portland’s Funniest Professional Contest, earned a business degree at the University of Maine and works as a motivational speaker.

Landwehr has performed at Comix at Foxwoods, Veronica Laffs Comedy Club and The Comedy Studio. He recently appeared on the Steve Katsos Show and starred in the 2014 short film “Bingo.”

JOKETRON, a comedy duo comprised of Josh Day and Mike Howlett, formed earlier this year and has been performing throughout New England. Day regularly performs with Juston McKinney and has been a part of the Hampton Beach Comedy Festival for the past three years. Howlett is a regular at at Giggles Comedy Club and The Comedy Studio.
